Workers and Youth Left Behind
Over 14% of young people between the ages of 15-24 are unemployed. Instead of presenting real solutions to lower youth unemployment, the Harper government has allowed highly vulnerable temporary workers from abroad to impact labour markets and keep wages low and corporate profits high. Unemployed people of all ages, but especially youth, need real leadership on unemployment now. That’s why we advocate for solutions like better job training and economic development based on a high wage model of Canada.
